But a key aspect to any outdoor living area is how you finish it, specifically your railings.

Each home has its own character, your own personal imprint from your garden to your furnishings and it’s important that your deck finish be in tune with the rest of the home. Deck railings are a prominent feature of any sundeck and they should complement the look and feel of your home design and décor.

In order to preserve the waterproof integrity of your new vinyl deck we recommend railing posts that attach to the side of the deck rather than through the top. Top mounted posts are installed with sealers and failure of the seal is rare, but it can happen. Side mount post systems are preferable as they allow you to utilize the full deck area, it is easier to clean the deck, the posts are anchored to solid joists or facia and the overall look and feel of the deck is neater and more finished.
